A brief note from our sponsor…
Many moons ago, I graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. I am a 19 year risk financing veteran, a 16 year Certified Insurance Counselor, a recent Associate in Risk Management and Associate in Risk Management for Public Entities designee and a 25+ year small business owner. I try not to take life or myself too seriously (it keeps my blood pressure down).
In late 2007, I decided a new artistic direction was called for so I sold my (latest) business and currently enjoy a mid-career lull. I don’t dare call it “semi-retirement”- simply a time to regroup, refresh and wait for the next opportunity to present itself. I keep myself busy consulting with individuals and small business owners that I like, studying for certain advanced technical risk management designations and of course, this site.
I share some of my thoughts and experiences on subjects that are of interest to me: financial risk management (including investment portfolio design), small business start-up risk management and quantitative loss assessment concepts.
